what we offer
aero-terminal offers a variety of different products, every item related to aviation.
we stock thousands of civil and military aircraft models in various different scales like:
1/500 - 1/400 - 1/250 - 1/200 - 1/144 - 1/100 - 1/72 - 1/48 - 1/32
our model aircraft are either diecast models (metal), plastic models, push-fit models or kits for your self assembly.
additionally we have the largest range of model kits in the zurich area at aero-terminal. we stock hundreds of kits and a lot of accessories and colors.
we have several hundreds of books about civil and military aviation and also offer aviation and model building magazines in german and english language.
aero-terminal offers aviation memorabilia, collectibles and merchandise as well as keyrings, lanyards and pins.
you can get postcards, dias and dvd's from us and we additionally offer aviation toys for our youngest aviators.
newest additions to our selection are remote controlled heli- and quadcopters.
how to get to aero-terminal
by airplane
take a flight to ZRH.
afterwards, rent a car or take a taxi, it only takes 5 minutes to reach us.
or take bus line 768 which stops only few meters away from aero-terminal. get off the bus at "glattbrugg post".
alternatively use tram line 10 or 12 to reach us. both lines start at the airport. get off the tram at station "glattbrugg bahnhof". from there it is only a 4 minutes walk to aero-terminal.
by bus
coming from ZRH airport, best is to use bus line 768 which originates at the airport and terminates at train station "oerlikon". get off at "glattbrugg post" which is only few meters away from aero-terminal.
coming from zurich city center, best is to take any bus service that serves "glattbrug train station". from there it is a 4 minutes walk to aero-terminal.
by train
you have two choices. either you take the train to station "opfikon" or station "glattbrugg".
sbb station opfikon is served by the S7, which runs every 30 minutes. the station is just two houses away from aero-terminal.
sbb station glattbrugg is served by the S3, S9 and S15 and from there it is only a 4 minutes walk to aero-terminal.
by car
there are multiple ways to reach us by car. drive to schaffhauserstrasse 76 in 8152 glattbrugg. we offer free parking in front of aero-terminal.
ZRH airport dioramas on display in our aero-terminal
did you know that we have two special dioramas of ZRH on display at aero-terminal?
we own a replica of ZRH's terminal E in 1/500 scale and have this on permanent display in one of our store windows. the runway- and taxi lights are illumintaed with hundreds of fiberglass threads and recently we implemented a led modification in the terminal building so it is also illuminated during the night.

an even more impressive diorama is the large 1/200 replica of ZRH airport during the 1960's with the old airport buildings and the famous old tower. the radial apron is very busy with the old props and early jets like the Douglas DC-6, Douglas DC-8, Douglas DC-9, Caravelle, Coronado or DH.106 Comet and many more. visit our gallery for more impressions.
